Whitney started Getitwhit after months of contemplation. Growing up in Northern California, she has slowly migrated to where she always knew she’d be — Hollywood. Whitney went to California State University, Fresno where she earned her B.A. in Mass Communications, Broadcast Journalism. She was the “spokeswoman” for the University, contributing to The Collegian Online, Fresno State’s website as the on-camera reporter.
This wasn’t her first job on-camera or in entertainment. She first stepped in front of the camera during her junior year of college for Warner Bros, Extra. She spent her summer soaking up everything she could from anywhere they’d let her (newsroom, field, edit bay, set, etc.) Whitney regularly stepped in front of the camera for red carpet premieres including: Step Brothers, The X Files, Pineapple Express, Handcock, SYTYCD and High School Musical.
A year later, she began interning with Comcast Entertainment Group (E!, Style Network, FEARnet, G4.) She worked in the FEARnet office where she gained knowledge in marketing, social networking and advertising. She begged to assist production shoots and ended up getting on-camera face time. Eventually, Whitney sweet talked her way into sit down meetings with some of the biggest heads at E! and started attending their 6:30 AM production meetings. Again, soaking up all the advice they would give.
After moving to LA, she began taking on-camera hosting classes learning from Marki Costello and other greats in the industry including producers/execs from companies like: MTV, Comcast, The Insider, Bunim & Murray, etc.
You see, Whitney has always been on the road to entertainment and she’s always known what she wants out of life, love and the people that share her crazy adventures.
She insists on not holding back and living like a wild woman in the city of angels. Whitney feels that her stories are unique and should be shared with the world. She hopes to expand the site making it one of the biggest online entertainment sources.
